a sky ablaze
The High Plains area of the west Texas panhandle has proven to be bountiful on many past occasions and so it was on this day having chased around the town of Levelland at the end of May in 2024.
After spending the day chasing several supercells around Hockley County, we finished for the evening just east of Levelland gazing at this breathtaking view of nature. Watching the drama of the sky depart as it was illuminated by the warm, fiery hues of the setting sun was a great way to finish off a satisfying chase day.
This awe-inspiring display of atmospheric artistry captures the fleeting moment when tranquility and meteorological drama intertwine. The vastness of the Texas landscape adds to the sense of wonder, making this image a powerful reminder of the grandeur of our planet.
