Shot in the Spring of 2024, this photo of a family of ducklings idly swimming along the northern shore of Bolam Lake remains one of my most favourite images I've ever taken.

You can read my write-up behind the taking this image in my 'In Search of Spring' blog but, as well as showcasing the hope and serenity of Spring, this image has additional meaning for me as it was taken at a difficult time in life. The joy I felt after capturing the moment signifies to me what Spring is often all about; that sense of hope, new beginnings and new adventures as well as cute little fluffy things looking adorable. I wonder what these ducklings are up to now...?
