a fall foliage landscape
Whenever Autumn arrives, the first thing on my mind is to visit Allen Banks. There is no better way to experience the magic of autumn and indulge in such a variety of vibrant photography than to wander along the banks of the River Allen and explore Staward Gorge.
Though the majority of the path runs high along the bank, there are some great shallow areas along the shore that allow you step out into the river to capture stunning, serene scenes such as this. There is so much to explore here and whereas you could reccie most of the route within a day, you could easily lose yourself for several hours just photographing one spot. And there are tons of them. At this time of year then, I always try to set aside several days, hope for favourable weather and indulge in my nature and autumn photography. This place really is a boon for landscape photographers.
